University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Career Services is hosting its biannual Career Fair on the Fox Tuesday, March 1 at the Kolf Sports Center.

The fair will be held from 1 until 4:30 p.m. and is open to all students.

The spring 2016 Career Fair on the Fox gives students the opportunity to learn about full and part-time positions, internships, co-ops, practicums, volunteering and networking opportunities. More than 130 employers will be on site for the event.

The Career Fair also offers students several services to help in the search for professional opportunities, including a photo booth in which students can get their professional photographs taken.

To make the large Career Fair easy to navigate for students, there is a UWO Career Fair+ App that can be downloaded prior to attending the fair to research organizations. The app gives students access to all the companies attending, the available positions within those companies, event information, career fair tips and even a lay-out of the entire fair.

In preparation, students are encouraged to dress professionally. Students can visit the Career Closet, which is housed within Career Services in the Student Success Center. The Career Closet is dedicated to providing professional attire to students free of charge.

UW Oshkosh student Imani Ware said the Career Closet is definitely an asset on campus to those participating in professional opportunities.

“I’m a freshman and I didn’t need so many business clothes before coming to college, so the Career Closet is a plus for students like me,” she said. “And the clothes are really nice and it’s right on campus, which is great as well.”

Career Services encourages students to distribute resumes to employers and interview with an employers during the fair.
