University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumna Kareen Everman ’88, served as the chair of an effort to build the KASH (Kids Are Special Here) Playground at Mead Park in Stevens Point.

Everman was inspired to develop a playground that her son Brett, who was disabled in a car crash in 1997, could enjoy with other children, regardless of their abilities. Check out Everman’s story:
