The Classified Staff Advisory Council is sponsoring the first Classified Staff Leadership Series since 2004, when the program was referred to as the “Team-building and Personal Development Program.”
The reconditioned series will include 10 interactive workshops from September 2008 to June 2009 and emphasize communication, community interaction, decision making, ethics and leadership in the university environment. Between 25 and 30 classified staff members will be selected to participate in this program.
“I am committed to this program due to the benefits it provides to the University as well as to employees,” Chancellor Richard H. Wells said. “As a participant, you will learn action-oriented skills to improve our workplace and increase your job satisfaction. Both new and ‘seasoned’ employees will find it to be a valuable experience.”
Eligible candidates must be a UW Oshkosh permanent classified staff employee, including non-represented employees, and have completed at least one continuous year of employment. Registration forms are due June 13 to Jill Reichenberger at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
