Students from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s College of Letters and Science — as well as the Office of Graduate Studies — were awarded their degrees May 17 during UW Oshkosh’s morning spring Commencement ceremonies. Thousands of friends and families gathered to celebrate their loved ones’ achievements.
Prior to the conferring of degrees, an honorary doctorate was presented posthumously to Edward Leyhe.
Chancellor Richard H. Wells conferred diplomas to the graduating students at 9 a.m. at Kolf Sports Center, 785 High Ave. The students were among the University’s largest graduating class of more than 1,400 students. Afternoon commencement ceremonies are slated for 2 p.m.
