Spring 2014 Schedule

Check out our preliminary Spring calendar! We are firming up some of the details yet but we have another great semester planned. Also, don't forget about our weekly events, such as our wellness program, and our support/discussion groups (including women's empowerment for female staff and faculty at UW Oshkosh, a domestic violence/intimate partner violence support group for female UW Oshkosh students, and a biweekly discussion group with female veterans on the Oshkosh campus and in the community).

The Women's Center at UW Oshkosh is proud to host Elect Her, run by the AAUW and Running Start, at UW Oshkosh. This training is supported by Chancellor Wells, Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs Petra Roter, Dean of College of Letters and Science John Koker, Alumni Director Christine Gantner, Diversity and Inclusion Programs in Reeve, the Political Science Department, Reeve Union Board, Kinesiology Club, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Spanish Club, Hanon (Korean Culture Club), Asian Student Association, University Honors Student Association, United Students of Residence Halls, Rainbow Alliance for HOPE, CARE, Women's Advocacy Council, Pagan Student Alliance, Inter-Tribal Student Association, College Democrats, the Sisterhood, Political Science Student Association, and Oshkosh Student Association.

Guest speakers include: Representative Katrina Shankland. Katrina Shankland represents Wisconsin’s 71st Assembly District, which includes the City of Stevens Point, the Villages of Amherst, Amherst Junction, Nelsonville, Plover, Rosholt, and Whiting, and neighboring towns. She was elected to the Assembly in 2012 and is the youngest state legislator in Wisconsin.
