Sexual Violence Prevention Training FAQs

What is Vector LMS?

Vector LMS is an online platform that hosts UWO’s mandatory sexual assault prevention training. Vector’s Sexual Assault Prevention Training is a comprehensive Title IX and Clery Act education and training solution that engages students throughout their time in college, encourages students to foster healthy relationships, and prepares students to recognize and respond to sexual assault and harassment when it occurs. Even if you have not been directly impacted by relationship violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sexual harassment, chances are you know or will know someone who is. This training is designed to help you identify these topics in your personal life and be a positive influence in addressing them here at UW Oshkosh. The knowledge students gain from this training is crucial in promoting a healthier and safer campus environment for everyone.

What will happen if I do not complete my Title IX training assignment by the assigned deadline?

Failure to complete the training will result in an academic hold placed on the student’s account – preventing them from registering for next semester’s courses until the requirement is fulfilled.  If the training is completed after a hold is put on the student’s TitanWeb account, staff will manually remove the hold during regular business hours.

A hold was placed on my account because I did not complete my training. How can I get it removed?

The only way to have the hold removed for failure to comply with the online training requirement is to complete the course assigned to you.

Staff receive data regarding student completion of training requirements through Vector. If you have a hold placed because you miss the deadline, you will not be able to contact UWO staff to request that a hold be removed—the campus must receive authentication from Vector. UWO’s records are updated regularly to reflect which students have satisfied the training requirement(s), but note that it could take up to three (3) business days for your completion to be recorded by the campus. Any training holds will not be removed from your TitanWeb account automatically upon completion of the training. It is your responsibility complete the training as soon as possible.

What happens with the information Vector collects?

At different points in the training, you will be asked to share a little about yourself. Some of these questions might feel personal. Vector asks these questions to help evaluate the effectiveness of this training and better support campuses in creating a safe, supportive community for students. This data will only ever be shared in an anonymized way that cannot be linked to a specific respondent. These questions are voluntary. Please only provide responses if you are comfortable sharing this information. You are invited to be completely honest, but if you are uncomfortable answering the questions, you may always choose the “prefer not to answer” option.

How can I verify whether I have satisfied my training requirement?

Students who have satisfied an online training requirement have the ability to download and save a certificate of completion for their records.

What if I already completed a Title IX training for athletics or on-campus employment?
