Title: Acceptance- and Mindfulness-based Approaches to Improving Relationship Satisfaction

This Brown Bag presentation will address the use of acceptance- and mindfulness-based strategies when working with couples who are experiencing relationship distress.There are a number of effective strategies for improving relationship functioning.  Interventions for couples in intimate relationships often focus on skills related to communication, conflict resolution, and building intimacy.  While these skills are useful, they are often not enough to improve relationship satisfaction.
