University Staff Senate


The University Staff Senate (USS) is the collective voice for university staff at University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Representing administrative and professional employees across campus, the Senate works to enhance the quality of life, effectiveness and professional experience of UW-Oshkosh staff.

USS promotes a positive and inclusive professional environment for all University Staff, including represented and non-represented employees as well as those in temporary and project appointments. Through advocacy, collaboration and open communication, the Senate supports professional development, encourages informed dialogue and serves as an advisory body to the chancellor and university leadership.

Whether you are looking to share your voice, grow professionally or help shape the future of UW-Oshkosh, it’s never too late to get involved.

What We Do

  • Advocate for the interests and well-being of University Staff

  • Support professional development and growth opportunities

  • Foster communication between staff and campus leadership

  • Advise the chancellor and university administrators

  • Build community through events, initiatives and recognition

 

At their April 20, 2016 meeting, Council voted to approve their name change from a Council to a Senate, to be consistent with the other governance groups.
