School may be out for the summer, but the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s student radio station continues to broadcast across the Fox Valley.
90.3 WRST, the Station the Redefines Alternative, will provide local programming all summer long. Staff members broadcast Sunday through Wednesday and Friday nights.
“We really have a lot of variety in this summer’s programming,” said Dan VanDenEng, station manager. “We’re always looking to have different kinds of shows, and we really have it at this time in particular.”
Listeners will recognize some regular WRST shows such as “Reggae World,” the talk show “The Double Stuff” and the heavy metal-themed “Megahurtz.” There also will be a number of free format shifts that will play a wide variety of music.
“We hope to be a different voice in the Oshkosh area,” VanDenEng said.
