More than 750 high school girls from across Wisconsin come together for Badger Girls State, while two participants hold a debate for the office of Lt. Governor. The annual event, held June 15-20 at UW Oshkosh, presents lessons about city, state and national government as well as what is expected of elected officials by inventing a mythical 51st state for the girls to govern.
