’58 Dolores Kitzinger (EHS) has been a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton for 27 years. 5-1-08.

’70 Martha (Sheerar) McGregor (EHS), MST ’73, a researcher in pathobiological sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, received the UW Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in research, critical research support on April 24. 5-1-08.

’70 L. Michael Metke (LS), MSE ’74 was inaugurated as president of Tyler Junior College, east of Dallas, Texas. 5-1-08.

’70 Dale Race (EHS), a Marinette native, retired as UW-Green Bay assistant basketball coach after coaching 1,000 games. He will be inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame this summer. 5-1-08.

’73 Jaime Malwitz (EHS), MS ’88 will co-direct the Sally Ride Academy August 11-15 in Fond du Lac. 5-1-08.

’74 Dave Haines (LS), MSE ’76 recently retired as the education director at the Oshkosh Correctional Institution. 5-1-08.

’75 Don Kreuser (EHS), MS ’82 was named a Herb Kohl award winner. Don has worked at Hartford Union High School since 1975 as a physical education and health teacher. 5-1-08.

’75 Michelle Weinberger-Burns (LS) of Waupaca received the 2008 Career Service Award from the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office. She retired from the field of social work in April. 5-1-08.

’81 Doug Waterman (LS), LS ’83, of Appleton, was presented with the Wisconsin Technical College System- Outstanding Service Award in Information Technology in March. 5-1-08.

’82 Thomas Rettler (B) of Mequon was hired as a senor vice president and chief financial officer for Menasha Corp. 5-1-08.

’83 Rodale Bochte (LS) is the owner of a recently purchased motel and resort in Hiles. The Little Pine Motel and Resort has 12 motel-type rooms on 10 acres with much to do. 5-1-08.

’83 Judy Markee (LS) anchors the 5, 5:30, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts of WWMT in Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo, Michigan. 5-1-08.

’84 Franklin Cumberbatch (B), a Boca Grande Capital partner, said the Milwaukee-based investment group was finalizing two projects in Ripon. 5-1-08.

’85 Lockwood Wurtz (LS) accepted the boys’ basketball coaching position at Kimberly High School, where he will also be a science teacher. 5-1-08.

’88 Stacey (Bradley) Timm (B) of Green Bay is the new director of finance of Unity, which provides hospice and palliative care. 5-1-08.

’90 Dave Esler (LS) of Arlington Heights, Ill., is chief human resources officer for U.S. Foodservice. 5-1-08.

’93 Brenda (Cowan) Frautschy (N) works with special needs children at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. She serves children with neurological and neuromuscular disease. 5-1-08.

’93 Sean Kern (LS) of Milwaukee was recently appointed to be the director of product development and product marketing for Catholic Family Life Insurance. 5-1-08.

’93 Ron Langacker (LS), a UW Oshkosh Alumni Board member, accepted an offer of employment as a legal counsel for Carle Clinic Association in Champaign Urbana, IL. 5-1-08.

’94 Raymond Ellingsen, Jr. (LS) of Oshkosh was issued a United States patent for the coaxial poppet valve. 5-1-08.

’94 Dean Hunt (B), of Appleton, has joined Martenson & Eisele, Inc. as business development manager. 5-1-08.

’95 Lori (Knieriem) Peck (B) of Weston is the vice president of finance/chief financial officer at Memorial Health Center in Medford. 5-1-08.

’98 Chris Allen (LS) is the new marketing manager for the Milwaukee Ballet. 5-1-08.

’98 Jess (Martin) Riley (LS) talked about her first-novel experiences in writing Driving Sideways at the Waupun Public Library on April 16. 5-1-08.

’01 Carrie (Krisak) Baylis (LS) will graduate from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysberg with a Master’s Degree in divinity. On March 8, she and Philip had their first child, Emmy Lorraine Baylis. 5-1-08.

’01 Wil Krautkramer (EHS) is the Menasha High School girls’ varsity soccer coach. 5-1-08.

’04 Tania (Weiler) Davis (EHS) of Athens and her husband, Kyle, are expecting a little girl in June to join daughter, Desirae, 6.

’05 Korey Feiner (LS) from Sun Prairie is a catcher for the Timber Rattlers this season. 5-1-08.

’05 Melissa (Cichy)Van Wie (B) is expecting her first child in June 9. 5-1-08.

’06 Jay Shambeau (MPA) of Kewaskum will be the new administrator for Calumet County beginning in June. 5-1-08.

’06 Jeffery Shimon (LS) will celebrate his two-year anniversary with the Baraboo Police Department in June. He is a patrol officer. 5-1-08.

’07 Shannon Doty (LS) is a member of the 332nd Rear Operations Center Area Support Group, based in Berlin, where she got involved with supporting Iraqi schools by humanitarian aid collected throughout Wisconsin. 5-1-08.
