Mindy Roever, who works for the human resource department as a program assistant at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, has been named the recipient of the December 2019 STAR Award.
She was nominated by Shawna Kuether, associate vice chancellor of the human resource department.
The nomination follows:
“Mindy provides excellent customer service to the campus community. We call her the ‘Manager of First Impressions.’ She is a valuable employee who always strives to make employees feel welcome in HR. Mindy often has to help people who are frustrated and/or upset. Mindy always goes above and beyond to ensure people feel heard and appreciated when they are dealing with a difficult situation.
“She also provides much-appreciated support for the HR staff. She is a team player. When human resources was short staffed, Mindy was ready and willing to take on additional projects to get things done. For example, Mindy completed the CUPA salary survey with a short deadline when no one else was able to lead the effort. We can always rely on Mindy to have a positive attitude and smile for both internal and external customers.”
