University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business students have proven again they are among the brightest in the nation by scoring in the top 5 percent of students taking the Educational Testing Service (ETS) Major Field Test for Business exam.

The College administered the ETS exam for all 161 of their senior-level business students graduating in May. The test assesses students’ knowledge of accounting, economics, management, quantitative business analysis, finance, marketing, business law, information systems and international issues. The class of 2008 achieved a national ranking of 95 percent.
More than 37,000 students from 447 universities participated in the exam. The ETS tests, which provide valid and reliable measures of the quality of instruction and curriculum, are endorsed by the Association to Advance the Collegiate Schools of Business.

We expect our graduates to be able to compete effectively against business graduates from all over the United States,” said Bill Wresch, undergraduate program coordinator for the College of Business. “It is gratifying to see that they can do just that. A few weeks from now when these students graduate, they are going to be an outstanding resource for the employers of Wisconsin.”
