The Counseling Center at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has been accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS), which is the accreditation association for university and college counseling centers.

The Counseling Center was evaluated for its compliance with the IACS standards, which are considered the highest standards available for campus counseling centers. The Counseling Center was found to offer outstanding professional services.

“We feel honored to be accredited through the International Association of Counseling Services. They provide a compass of best practices for university counseling centers that is invaluable,” said Counseling Center Director Sandy Cox. “I have deep gratitude and admiration for our team at the Counseling Center for the incredible work they do everyday with students that this accreditation validates.”

The Counseling Center strives to promote the well-being and success of students. Counseling Center services and resources are designed to meet the diverse needs of students, whether needs are related to academic concerns, personal struggles or questions about what to major in. The Counseling Center offers free services to all students.

“Receiving this accreditation is a testament to the amazing services offered through our Counseling Center at UW Oshkosh. Many of our students depend on the Counseling Center and we will continue to develop services and support options on all of our campuses,” Acting Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Art Munin said.
