The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley Foundation has named Dr. Russ Clayton, Family Medicine – Resident at Aspirus Wausau Family Medicine and Jeff Schneider, Vice President of Stockbridge Engineering as the 2016 recipients of its Outstanding Alumni Award.
Clayton attended UWFox from 2008-2009 and went on to earn his MD from the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine. His passion to practice as a family physician in a small underserved community was realized when the Aspirus Family Medicine Residency program in Wausau accepted his residency.
Schneider, attended UWFox from 1981-1983 and went on to graduate from UW Madison with an engineering degree. After graduation, Jeff joined the family business, Stockbridge Manufacturing for seven years as an engineer. In 1992, Jeff and his father decided to start a new company, Stockbridge Engineering. Stockbridge Engineering employs nearly 40 people in the Stockbridge area.
The Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes alumni who reflect the ideals of UWFox and whose achievements and contributions have improved the quality of life in their community. In order to qualify for the nomination, alumni must have attended UWFox for at least two semesters at least 10 years ago and demonstrate outstanding achievement and/or leadership in their chosen profession.
