The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac Foundation Board of Directors has named Patty Brandl executive director of the organization.
A Fond du Lac native, Brandl attended UW-Fond du Lac from 1999-2002 as a returning adult student and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in journalism from UW-Oshkosh in 2003. She then worked as city and business reporter at The Reporter. Brandl has a range of experience in the local business community and served as director of three Leadership Fond du Lac programs for the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce.
“I was privileged to receive a number of scholarships when I attended UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Oshkosh,” said Brandl. “The financial assistance made it possible for me to finish college and earn a bachelor’s degree that I had dreamt about for years. I look forward to playing a role where I can help other students achieve their goals in the future.”
The UW-Fond du Lac Foundation’s primary objectives are to provide scholarship opportunities for students; encourage and support programs designed to involve the community in the campus; and help improve the resources available to students, faculty and staff.
