“A Sparrow Falls” written by Professor Richard Gustin
Auditions for UW-Fond du Lac’s spring production of “A Sparrow Falls” written by Richard Gustin, communication and theater arts professor, will be held 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in the Art Building, room A-216, 400 University Dr.
The play is an ensemble piece incorporating the use of a chorus. A central focus is one individual’s experience of the Holocaust. It was written by Gustin while he was on a playwriting sabbatical last spring and he will produce and direct this premiere performance.
Students and community members ages 16 and older are invited to audition. No experience is necessary. Selected scenes provided at time of audition. UW college credit is available.
“The play explores through both humor and hard questions, who we are as social beings” said Gustin. “It examines ways that civilization has tried to move forward and the negative consequences that sometimes result.”
Production dates are March 11-15. For more information call (920) 929-1100.
