2014_sum_philanthropy_kennedy_fellows_300Through a generous grant from the Dr. and Mrs. Hugh A. Kennedy Foundation of Corpus Christi, Texas, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Nursing established the Kennedy Nursing Fellow Scholarships.

“The Kennedy Nursing Fellow Scholarship allows the College of Nursing the opportunity to recognize excellence in our top nursing students,” Dean Rosemary Smith said. “We appreciate the confidence that the Dr. and Mrs. Hugh A. Kennedy Foundation has placed in the College of Nursing as we develop caring and scholarly nurse leaders.”

The spring 2012 Kennedy Nursing Fellows are Stephanie Neitke, Oshkosh; Rebecca Olson, Fond du Lac; Amanda Rutten, Neenah; Cailia Weyenberg, Kaukauna; Courtney Campbell, Sheboygan Falls; and Amy Duesterhoeft, Monmouth, Oregon.

The fall 2012 Kennedy Nursing Fellows are Amy Ford, Hales Corner; Josie Golla, Stevens Point; Jennifer Pagel, Wausau; Anyssa Schulte, Oshkosh; Jennifer Sjoquist, Greenville; Hannah Harter, Eau Claire; and Chelsea Karasch, St. Paul, Minn.

The spring 2013 Kennedy Nursing Fellows are Meghan Batterman, Greenville; Monica Crone, Delafield; Kayla Herget, Mayville; Jennifer Kaderabek, Oregon; Melissa Schneider, Fond du Lac; Caroline Gilderson-Duwe, Green Bay; and Eric Roenning, Middleton.

In spring 2013, we awarded the first Graduate Student Kennedy Nursing Fellows Scholarship to Jennifer Gartzke, Green Bay; and Luke Hachfeld, Wausau.

The fall 2013 Kennedy Nursing Fellows are Amanda Ciske, Fort Atkinson; Hailey Ronspiez, Oregon; Amy Schnidler, Curtiss; Llora Waldman, Wausau; and Katie Young, Waterford.
