Through a generous grant from the Dr. and Mrs. Hugh A. Kennedy Foundation of Corpus Christi, Texas, the UW Oshkosh College of Nursing established the Kennedy Nursing Fellows Scholarship.
“The Kennedy Nursing Fellows Scholarship allows the College of Nursing to recognize excellence in our top nursing students,” said Leslie Neal-Boylan, College of Nursing dean. “We are grateful for the confidence that the Dr. and Mrs. Hugh Kennedy Foundation has placed in our nursing program.”
The spring 2014 Kennedy Nursing Fellows are Melissa Brueggeman, Ontario; Sarah Kesner, Sheboygan; Atalie Mittelstedt, Montello; Mark Pontow, Appleton; Mary Porter, Menasha; Anna Funderburgh, St. Paul, Minn.; Zachary McCluskey, Eau Claire; and Emily Smith, Appleton.
In spring 2014, the Kennedy Nursing Fellows scholarship was awarded to graduate nursing students Candice Crabb, Green Bay, and Amber Oldenberg, LaCrosse.
