A dedication and grand opening of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Student Success Center (SSC) is set for Thursday, Oct. 7. The event starts with an open house from 3:30 to 4 p.m. at the newly renovated center, 750 Elmwood Ave.

The dedication, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, will be held from 4 to 4:30 p.m., with a welcome by Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Petra Roter, and remarks by State Rep. Gordon Hinz, 54th Assembly and Building Commission chair; Alex Grupp, vice president of the Oshkosh Student Association; and UWO Chancellor Richard H. Wells.

Following the event, a reception will be held in Reeve Memorial Union.

The SSC houses Career Services, the Counseling Center, the Center for Academic Resources, the Undergraduate Advising Resource Center and the Writing Center.
