The Greek community at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh was well represented at the Mid-American Greek Council Association (MGCA) Annual Meeting Feb. 23 in Chicago.
UW Oshkosh representatives Tom Breunig and Mike Brem earned $50 each for Theta Chi and Delta Sigma Phi Fraternities, respectively, when they teamed up for a third-place finish in the Order of Omega Case Study Competition. The competition featured 16 colleges and universities from across the United States.
In this competition, two-man teams composed of a Greek Life professional or graduate student and one undergraduate council officer were given five hours to propose a course of action to a real-life situation that has occurred in a Greek community.
“Our solution to the case study competition was a true collaborative effort,” said Breunig, who is the program advisor for Greek Life and Volunteerism and also an alumnus of the Theta Chi Fraternity. “This was a great opportunity to work with a student in solving a real fraternity/sorority life issue.”
