More than 100 University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students and staff from the Department of Residence Life spend Aug. 26, 2010, volunteering throughout the Oshkosh community. In conjunction with the 14th annual Citizenship Day, which aims to instill in students a greater sense of civic responsibility and a better understanding of different cultures in the region, the volunteers lent a hand at a number of agencies, including Aurora Medical Center, Boys & Girls Club, Evergreen Retirement Community, Head Start and Salvation Army. The day kicked off the official Community Agency Partnership Program (CAPP), in which each residence hall will continue to work with their partnered agency throughout the academic year.
