The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Nursing will reach a milestone during the 25th-annual Nightingale Awards Dinner. Each year, the Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing Practice recognizes several exemplary nurses working in the state of Wisconsin. UW Oshkosh has been hosting the celebration since 1993.

Nominations for the 2018 Nightingale award are being accepted now through Jan. 19, 2018. Nominations can be submitted by coworkers, supervisors, friends and family, patients or through self-nomination.

The nurses who are nominated for this award demonstrate unparalleled clinical excellence and superior patient care.

The event begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 at the UW Oshkosh Alumni Welcome and Conference Center. The dinner recognizes all of the nurses nominated for the Nightingale award, the award recipients and several UW Oshkosh nursing students receiving scholarships. College of Nursing faculty and staff, the College of Nursing Board of Visitors, and friends and family will attend.

Nightingale Award recipients are presented $1,000 and a commemorative gift.
