The following Class Notes were received recently in the UW Oshkosh Alumni Office.

’63 Sharon J. (Satori) Kierstein, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, retired in 2004 after teaching 45 years in Jefferson County schools in Denver, Colorado and became an artist.

’63 James L. Scheuermann (BS), of Lakeville, Minnesota, retired in 2003 from Kimberly-Clark Corp. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

’69 David Gillingham (BME), (’77 MST), of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, works at Central Michigan University. He will be returning to campus to meet with student musicians who will perform a few of Gillingham’s works for wind ensemble and percussion ensemble.

’69 Mary (Thompson) Saatkamp (BS), of Apache Junction, Arizona, is retired and travels full-time with her husband, Stuart, across the country in their RV and they volunteer at state parks.

’74 Elizabeth M. Bauer (BS), of Durand, retired in 2014 from St. Anthony Elementary.

’74 Gene Tenuta (BS), of Ponte Vedra, Florida, retired in 1995 as a U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel.

’75 Linda (Hall) Gillingham (BM), (’76 BME), of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, works at Central Michigan University and will be returning to UW Oshkosh to meet up with former piano professor James Kohn for a piano lesson.

’78 Rev. Sue Sheffer-Meyer (BA), of Fond du Lac, who is a pastor at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, is celebrating her 35th anniversary of Ordination.

’80 Susan (Manke) Miller (BS), of Lodi, is completing her 15th year on the Lodi School Board and currently serves as president.

’83 Barry Martzahl (BBA), of Green Bay, is employed at Graystone Consulting as a managing director. In March, he was named to the Barron’s list of the top 1,200 financial advisers in America for the sixth consecutive year.

’84 Jacqueline (Doherty) Belken (BSN), of Janesville, is a registered nurse for the Delavan-Darien School District. She traveled with the Badger Honor Flight as part of the medical crew.

’90 Kim Quinnell (BS), of Stanley, has been teaching kindergarten for 27 years in Thorp and is very involved in the community.

’97 Brad Hartwig (BS), of Middleton, works for Madison National Life Insurance as a medical analyst/physician assistant. He graduated from Yale University School of Medicine’s Physician Associate Program in 1999 and is enrolled in the University of Nebraska-Kearney MS in biology online program.

’98 Catherine Caspary (BSN) and ’03 (MSN), of Lomira, completed her doctor of nursing practice degree at Saint Louis University in 2016.

’00 Garth Wicinsky (MBA), of Winneconne, has been promoted to senior vice president and chief administrative officer at SECURA Insurance.

’02 Ron Jochimsen (MBA), of Appleton, retired from the Boldt Company.

’06 Julie Holcomb (MBA), of Neenah, joined Oshkosh Door Company as human resource manager.

’08 Kiel Zillmer (LS), of Mukwonago, has joined the Milwaukee office of Hall, Render, Killian, Heath and Lyman, the largest healthcare-focused law firm in the U.S., as an attorney.

’10 Angela Savides (MSE), of Appleton, is a mental health/substance abuse therapist for Affinity Health System.

’10 Marc Vandenhouten (BSE), of Brussels, is a fifth-grade teacher at Southern Door.

’11 Kylie Hodges (BA), of West Hollywood, California, works in the Los Angeles area for multiple entertainment news outlets. She recently covered an Academy Awards after party.

’11 Natalee (Kamiskie) Stafford (BA), of West Valley City, Utah, was recently married and is a senior volunteer services specialist for the American Red Cross in the Utah and Nevada region.

’12 Thomas Bricco (BSE), of New York, New York, who completed his master’s program at New York Universiy’s Steinhardt Graduate School in 2014, is employed as a CRM manager at Transportation Alternatives.

’13 Christopher Laurishke (BSE), of Wauwatosa, is engaged to alumna Brittany Walder (BSE ’14). They are planning an August 2017 wedding.

innerandouterthoughtsimg-0282’13 Megan Tyjeski (BFA), of Oshkosh, works for Cadre as a contract employee. She also runs Megan Art and Photo, a freelance photography and art business, and is a member of Jambalaya, a downtown gallery.

’14 John McCann (LS), of Elroy, the high jump state record holder and an All-American in high jump from UW Oshkosh, will help coach the New Lisbon Rockets track and field team this season.

’15 Lauree Frechette (BA), of Oshkosh, was promoted to account associate at Red Shoes PR Inc. She also is a gymnastics coach at Oshkosh West High School and a committee member for the American Heart Association Fox Cities Go Red for Women.

’15 Juston Wara (BSE), of Oshkosh, a teacher at Merrill Middle School in Oshkosh, will be coach the Oshkosh North football program.
