This year, the Earth Charter Community Summit and the Provost’s Teaching and Learning Summit are sharing the week to focus on sustainability.

The Earth Charter Community Summit kicks off Monday, Oct. 10. Daily events are planned for around the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus.

The Summit has been taking place at UW Oshkosh since 2001–and was the first institution in the state to sign the Earth Charter document. The Charter’s message advocates many important values that center around the promotion of respect, responsibility and compassion for the Earth and its many diverse communities.

The public is encouraged to be a part of the Earth Charter Community Summit. The complete schedule of events can be found at uwosh.edu/go/earthcharter.

The 2016 Provost’s Summit on Teaching and Learning offers three days of dialog, hope and action–beginning Oct. 11. This year’s theme is Realizing Sustainability. Register or learn more.
