Chancellor Andrew Leavitt sent the following budget update to campus on Feb. 25, 2016:

“In November 2014, I began my role as chancellor of this institution at the start of a very challenging fiscal cycle. We were faced with what seemed to be an impossible task—to find $7.4 million to remove from our campus budget. Without hesitation, this campus worked together to find ways to both reduce our workforce and stabilize our enrollment. I’m pleased to report that significant progress has been made on both fronts and invite you to view the video below for details.

“As we look to the end of this fiscal year and plan for our second year of the biennium, we must continue to be disciplined. We’ve made great progress but still have work to do to meet this budget reduction. I want thank each of you for the hard work and innovations. Your dedication and your ideas continue to make a difference.”
