Chris Schettle, who works in the Registrar’s Office at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, has been named the recipient of the November STAR Award.

She was nominated by Rebecca Habeck (Department of Foreign Languages), Marla Krueger and Julie Wilkenson, (both work in the Registrar’s Office at UW Oshkosh).

Portions of Schettle’s nominations follow:

Rebecca Habekc:

“Chris Schettle is always willing to answer my questions quickly and patiently. She is a passionate advocate for helping students graduate in four years. She was instrumental in promoting computerized wait listing. Chris always seems positive, friendly and energetic. She is a true asset to UW Oshkosh.”

Marla Krueger:

“Chris is absolutely an advocate for the students. If there is a problem, she will investigate until she has an answer. She is always conscious of enrollment and drop dates for students, keeping in mind refund amounts, financial aid, etc. more so then she would ever need to be, but she cares and is an expert at what she does. If I have a problem or issue and want to have Chris look at it with me, she will always stop what she is doing to help me. She is a terrific candidate for the STAR award.”

Julie Wilkenson:

“Chris has always been ready to help whenever needed. She has vast knowledge of the Registrar’s Office and University policies and business practices, and she shares and applies these as needed. One of Chris’s many strengths is her attention to detail. She always makes sure that everything is correct with registration and Titan Web.  In addition, and most importantly, she is extremely dedicated to making sure that students are given excellent service. She always goes the extra mile in her work with students, faculty and staff. I highly recommend Chris Schettle for a STAR award.”

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to contribute calendar items, campus announcements and other good news to UW Oshkosh Today.
