Duane Goupell, director of Testing Services at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, was elected president-elect this spring by the National College Testing Association (NCTA).

NCTA is a professional organization of individuals involved in testing in some capacity. Currently, NCTA has nearly 2,200 members including 55 members from outside the United States representing more than 650 postsecondary educational institutions. In being elected president-elect, Goupell will serve one year as president-elect, two years as president and one year as past president.

Goupell has been involved in NCTA since its beginning in 2000. He is currently a member of the NCTA governing board, has been chairman of the Test Center Certification Committee for eight years, and has served as the chairman of the Conference Venue Committee in the past. He has presented at the annual conference in the past and is a frequent sight at the registration desk for the annual conference. Gourpell has been a very active and visible member of the organization promoting the professionalism and integrity of test professionals everywhere.
