Two University of Wisconsin Oshkosh advisers are being recognized by the Wisconsin Academic Advising Association (WACADA).
Christie Launius, director of Women’s and Gender Studies, has won the WACADA 2014 Faculty Adviser Excellence Award. Nominees for this award are evaluated on effective advising qualities and practices that distinguish the nominee as an outstanding faculty adviser.
Houa Xiong, academic adviser in the Undergraduate Advising Resource Center (UARC), won the WACADA 2014 Advising Excellence Award. Nominees for this award are evaluated on effective advising qualities and practices that distinguish the nominee as an outstanding academic adviser.
Launius and Xiong will receive their awards at the 2014 WACADA Conference held at UW-Eau Claire on Sept. 18-19.
