’80 Frank Kufel (EHS), of Stoughton, has retired from the Verona Area School District. He has been an educator for 31 years and plans to be a stay-home dad.
’81 Michael Kiecker (MSE), of Fremont, has completed his term as a homeroom, math and science teacher at Emanuel Lutheran School after 16 years in New London.
ʼ85 Laura (Veit) Kestly (LS), of Pewaukee, won the 2014 Waukesha BluesFest Poster Contest, which was awarded by the Waukesha Rotary Club.
’86 Michael Karns (LS), of Lakehead, Calif., is celebrating his fourth anniversary as owner/artist at Boundary Waters Screenprinting in Redding, Calif. The business is run by him and his family.
’88 David Hirsch (LS), and ’95 (MBA), of Fox Point, has been named as senior vice president by U.S. Bank. He works in the Insurance Banking Group.
’92 Steven Dzubay (LS), of Maple Plain, Minn., has purchased Interchange Brokerage Services Inc, and is the sole owner and president. He also is a partner of Capitas Financial Inc.
’93 David Norenberg (LS) and ’96 (MSE), of Rensselaer Falls, N.Y., has been awarded the 2014 Outstanding Career Practitioner Award by the New York State Career Development Association. He serves as SUNY Canton’s career services director.
’94 Amy (Tews) McQuin (EHS), of Beaver Dam, is the owner of C to C Bait Co. and has created a new line of Slop Frog fishing lures.
’96 Todd Hencsik (EHS), of Eagle, has been selected to be the new principal at Campbellsport Middle-High School starting in July.
’96 Tracy (Koch) Hengst (B), of Little Chute, took a new position with Appvion Inc. as the JDE developer/analyst.
’96 Bradley Heutmaker (LS), of Rochester, N.Y., is a firefighter with the Saint Paul Boulevard Fire Department in Irondequoit, N.Y.
’99 Holly (Hahn) Brenner (B) and ‘09 (MBA), of Malone, was recognized in June as one of the top hospital marketers at the first hospital marketing national conference. She is the vice president of strategic development and business development with Agnesian HealthCare.
’00 James Dembosky (EHS), of Greendale, has been appointed as the new principal of Trailside Elementary School in the Waterford Graded School District.
’01 Chad Doran (LS), of Appleton, is the city’s new communications coordinator. He has worked at WLUK-TV as a news reporter covering the Fox Valley for more than two years.
’02 Brent Diderrich (LS), of Avon, Ind., has been promoted to senior group leader for Target Distribution in Indianapolis. Through his work with United Way, he was awarded “Best in Community” recipient for Target Distribution in 2013.
’03 Beverly McCarthy-Rittenhouse (MSE), of Oneida, has received the 2014 Kohl Fellowship Award and plans to donate a portion to Howard Elementary School, where she serves as a special education teacher.
’06 Sara (Weinzirl) Reinikainen (N), of Rice Lake, is now a nurse practitioner in family medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System-Northland in Barron.
’08 Erik Koepnick (LS), of Milwaukee, has become an openly gay ordained minister at the United Church of Christ in Delavan. He earned a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary. In June, he married his partner, Ryan Reichard, at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
’08 Kevin Kosterman (LS), of Milwaukee, is the new art director for Ron Sonntag Public Relations. He previously was the graphic and web designer for the firm.
’08 Adam Krause (LS), of Oconto Falls, screened his horror film Home Sweet Home in June at the De Pere Cinema.
’09 Felicia Clark (LS), of Appleton, has been hired as the new communication specialist at Candeo Creative.
’11 Nicholas Bartol (LS), of Austin, Texas, is working in sales for Neenah Foundry in Texas. After graduation, he completed an internship in Washington D.C., with U.S. Senator Ron Johnson.
’13 Jennifer Michiels (B), of Menasha, is the new sales and marketing director at Fox Banquets & Rivertyme Catering Inc. in Appleton.
’14 John Dewitt (EHS), of Oshkosh, was hired as an AP statistics teacher at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis.
’14 Stephanie Birchfield (EHS), of Neenah, has been promoted to case manager at the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley.
’14 Stephanie Rodriguez (EHS), of Riverside, Calif., serves on the national “Campus Pride” advisory board and joins multiple colleges around the country to help LGBTQ communities across campuses.
