The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Cross Country teams are hosting the 2nd Annual Titan 5K Run/Walk Saturday, July 26 at Menominee Park in Oshkosh.
The 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:45 a.m. and is followed by a 400m Children’s Race at 10 a.m. Awards, free food, drinks and door prizes will follow the races.
Exciting and new this year: American Mile Record Holder Alan Webb will be competing in the event!
Additionally, UW Oshkosh student-athletes are raising money for two charities–Free the Slaves and Love 146–both of which work to combat human trafficking and modern slavery and to serve its victims. More than 27 million people (more than 1 million in the US) currently live in such conditions.
For more information on the event, charities or for online registration, please visit the website.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to contribute calendar items, campus announcements and other good news to UW Oshkosh Today.
