Sue Jaeke, Registration Desk Manager for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Registrar’s Office, has been named the recipient of the May STAR Award.
She was nominated by Jane Wypiszynski, student academic affairs officer for the College of Letters and Science.
Portions of Jaeke’s nomination follow:
“Sue Jaeke handles students daily. She remains calm, helpful and polite no matter what happens. She is so knowledgeable about the course and programs offered at the university that she can explain options to students in a way that makes sense to them, even when it is complicated. Sue has also taken on tasks to help out the credit examiners with their never-ending stacks of paper: she has learned and streamlined processes so that the paperwork moves swiftly but accurately through the office. Sue has a loyal and well-guided team of student workers who respect and also enjoy working with and learning from her. I rely on Sue regularly for help with my job and she is always thoughtful and willing to help.”
