Priebe Gallery, located on the first floor of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Arts and Communication Center, is now featuring the exhibit “Time as Bone” by visiting artist Young Seok Yoon.
Yoon’s art “combines his interests in neuroscience, science fiction, and genetic reproduction (cloning) through found objects, photograph, lenticular devices, and video. However, all of these complex and multifarious methods, materials, and interests have a single focus: boiling down Yoon’s observation of time. He attempts to capture time in an object while looking at objects in time. In this regard, his work could be called “a sculpture of time.”
Priebe Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with additional, evening hours Monday through Thursday: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The gallery is also open on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
