The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Reeve Memorial Union Steinhilber Art Gallery will feature the exhibit “A Lot Can Happen” by artist Chris Kienke through April 25.
The exhibit opens March 31 at 5 p.m. with a presentation by Kienke in Reeve 307 followed by an artist’s reception.
Kienke is represented by Amos Eno Gallery in New York City. His work has been exhibited in more than 60 shows including his solo debut in New York City at the Bowery Gallery in June 2011.
Kienke exhibited in the Florence Biennale in December 2011 and was included in New American Paintings in September 2009. He has been a fellow at the Vermont Studio Center in 2003 and 2007. His work is in permanent collections such as ABN Amro Bank in Dubai, Savannah College of Art and Design and the Hospitalfield Trust in Scotland.
Kienke received his MFA from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2000 and his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1994. Chris is Chair of the Foundations Curriculum at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
