Do you think June needs more gift-giving holidays? Well, Polk Library at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will hold it’s 5th annual book and media swap, which is called Polksgiving, on June 19.

Observing Polksgiving is simple: bring books, CDs and DVDs you’re ready to part with and exchange them for those brought in by others. Overly technical or scholarly books do not make good Polksgiving presents.

Drop off materials between June 3 and 18 at the Polk Circulation and Reserve Desk (just to the left inside the library). Those who drop off items will receive a coupon for their items.

Then, on Polksgiving (June 19) between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., bring the coupon to the Polk Leisure Reading Room, 2nd Floor, North Wing to pick up an identical number of items dropped off.

Materials left over from the swap will be donated to the Taycheedah Correctional libraries. Please contact Marisa Finkey (920-424-3436 or finkey@uwosh.edu) or Lin Schrottky (424-2110 or shrottk@uwosh.edu) with questions.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to contribute calendar items, campus announcements and other good news to UW Oshkosh Today.
