Several University of Wisconsin Oshkosh organizations and departments are among the many proud sponsors of the 20th Annual Race Unity Social set for Abe Rochlin Park at Noon on Sunday, June 2.

Whether long-time Wisconsinites or newer arrivals from other states and countries, everyone will find the exciting mix of music, food, and fun to be a very special way to make new friends and have a great time with old ones. Events will begin at noon and close at 4 p.m. All events and food samplings are free and open to the public. Bring a l awn chair and an open heart and you’ll be guaranteed four hours of festivities and friendship! Abe Rochlin Park is at the corner of Congress Avenue and Sawyer Street that is closest to Titan Stadium.

The afternoon of live musical entertainment includes: the Guillermo Ruiz Mariachi Band; an Oshkosh Rhythm Institute community-style drum circle; Hmong dance and hip hop groups NCL Dance Troupe and Beat2Soul; and musicians Bob Pillsbury, Kashia & Cicily, and others, including some student groups from the Oshkosh and Appleton schools.

Children will enjoy a special activities tent and face painting by Jennifer Berry and other artists. Henna art by Beauty from Ash will be featured.
