Local residents are invited to experience the recently revived and now open downtown Oshkosh Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.

The hotel owners are offering a “staycation,” one-time deal featuring a two-night stay  for only $189, plus tax.  In addition, a $40 voucher for the Ground Round at Rivers Edge plus a complimentary hot breakfast each morning will be provided, the hotel owners announced. Guests can also choose to stay for one night for $109, plus tax with a $20 voucher for the Ground Round at River’s Edge plus a complimentary hot breakfast.

The offer is valid only for Memorial Day weekend, meaning Friday, May 24, Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 for a king-bedded room or double-queen (2-bedded) room. An extra $10 each for third and fourth persons in a room will be charged.

With the staycation deal, local residents will be among the first to stay in the hotel, located just two blocks from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus. The UW Oshkosh Foundation, along with local hoteliers Richard Batley and John Pfefferle, committed to revitalization of the hotel — with the help of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the City of Oshkosh — last February.  Earlier this month, the hotel officially opened and began hosting its first overnight guests.
