Faculty, staff and students are invited to join University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumni Dean ’96 and ’03, and Carrie (Kosek) Duehring ’99 and ’01, as they present “Creating Craft-e-Corner: A Family Business Scrapbook” at Pollock Alumni House at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.

During the presentation, the entrepreneurial couple will share how they have turned their passion and hobby into a multimillion dollar online craft supply business.  Learn how they put their UWO degrees in secondary education/economics and psychology to good use with their thriving business and also how they balance their family and business commitments.

“My graduate school experience at UWO prepared me with the hard skills I use every day in my work,” Carrie said. “The skills of researching, analyzing, organizing and producing conclusions have helped Craft-e-Corner change and grow.”

Following the talk, participants are invited to get creative and make an optional free craft project. Learn how to use a die-cutting machine and other craft tools as you make a Thank You, Birthday, Graduation or Mother’s Day card. RSVP’s by April 22 are appreciated.
