It comes down to one goal for the employees doing the work and for the students, staff and faculty benefiting from it: “Be safe, be warm.” That’s the greeting University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Grounds Maintenance and Auto Shop Supervisor Grant Davey gives his team and stresses before its members hit campus and tackle the drifts.

The UW Oshkosh Facilities Management crews are usually required to wake up and get to work pretty early to clean up the snow during routine snowfalls and storms that blanket the state’s third-largest campus. This video provides a snapshot of just some of the work these dedicated workers — and the hundreds of others like them around Wisconsin — provide for UW Oshkosh and the UW System.
