The following announcements were supplied by the Office of Grants and Faculty Development:
- UW Oshkosh received $24,231 from UW-Stevens Point through the United States Department of Defense for “Expression of Plant Methyl Butenol and Isoprene Synthase Genes in Cyanbacteria.” Toivo Kallas (biology and microbiology) is the director of the subcontract. Eric Singsaas (UW-Stevens Point) is the project PI.
- UW Oshkosh received $30,000 from UW-Madison for a collaborative project funded by DHHS, PHS, and Health Resources and Services for the third year of a continuing project titled “Faculty Development: Integrated Technology into Nursing Education and Practice Iniative.” Bonnie Schmidt and Dawn Pope (CON) are the UW Oshkosh site co-leaders.
- Melanie Marine and Elizabeth Stern (Reading Study Center) will attend the On Course National Conference April 8-10 in Raleigh, N.C. They received support through the academic staff component of the Faculty Development Program.
