Student groups at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh sponsored the Tunnel of Oppression, a multimedia tour designed to challenge ideas and perceptions of oppression. Participants walked through a series of rooms with interactive scenarios, various multimedia and information raising awareness about acts of oppression that exist in society. This experience exposed participants to racism, heterosexism, sexism, socioeconomic status and genocide.

The Department of Residence Life, United Students in Residence Halls (USRH), CARE/MenCARE, Counseling Center, Hmong Student Union (HSU), Multicultural Education Coalition (MEC), Rainbow Alliance for H.O.P.E., Student Social Work Association (SSWA), and Women’s Advocacy Council sponsored the event.
