E. Alan Hartman received the Lynne Webster Leadership Award Nov. 9 during the Chamber’s 102nd Annual Meeting and Recognition Program, held at the Oshkosh Convention Center.

Hartman currently serves as a business professor at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and has served many roles during his 33-year tenure at the University, including interim provost and vice chancellor and as dean of the College of Business.

During the past 20 years, Hartman played an integral part of the Oshkosh Chamber’s Leadership Oshkosh program. His service to this organization garnered him the 2006 Leadership Oshkosh Service Award.

Hartman also has been involved with Oshkosh’s economic development efforts, serving organizations like the Oshkosh Commercial Development Corporation Board of Directors and the New North. In addition, he helped the City of Oshkosh create a 10-year economic development plan and served on the ad hoc committee to develop a business model for the Leach Amphitheater.

Hartman serves on the Evergreen Retirement Community Board of Directors, has chaired its Board Management and Development Committee and its Organization Performance Committee, along with serving on their Foundation Board. Other boards and committees Hartman has served include Fox Valley Technical College, Big Brother/Big Sisters and Junior Achievement.
