For a couple of hours, one could have sworn the room in Polk Library had been swept back to 1962, what with the slick hairdos, tie bars, vintage  hors d’oeuvres and all.

On Nov. 15, Forrest R. Polk Library’s staff and University and community members, gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the facility.

In the following video, UW Oshkosh Archivist Joshua Ranger shares a bit about the throwback celebration and the immediate value Polk Library provided the campus and the region when it opened in the fall of 1962.
