Time Warner Cable Sports32 announced that it will televise the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) football showdown between the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater live this Saturday (Oct. 20) at 1 p.m. The match up is at UW-Whitewater’s Perkins Stadium.

The game will be available to a statewide audience on Time Warner Cable Sports32/1332HD and Charter Extra Channel 87. Both teams are unbeaten in conference play and nationally ranked, with UW-Whitewater No. 5 and UW Oshkosh No. 10.

UW-Whitewater (5-1, 3-0 WIAC) is the three-time defending NCAA Division III champion. The Warhawks have also won the past seven WIAC titles. UW-Whitewater is led by senior running back Desmin Ward and junior linebacker Kyle Wismer. The Warhawks have won four straight games since dropping a 7-6 contest to Buffalo State (N.Y.) on Sept. 15.

UW Oshkosh (6-0, 3-0 WIAC) is led by by senior quarterback Nate Wara and senior linebacker Taylor Goodman. The Titans have won their last eight games, scoring 34-plus points in six of those contests. UW Oshkosh’s unbeaten start to the 2012 season is its best since 1923.

Saturday’s contest is the 104th between the two teams. Last season, the Titans led late in the third quarter before the Warhawks pulled out a 20-17 victory.

UW Oshkosh will be playing in front of their largest television audience in 30 years. The Titans were on CBS Sports for a regionally-televised game at UW-Stout during the 1982 season.
