Roughly 800 high school girls from across the state call the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus home June 21-26 for the American Legion Auxiliary’s Badger Girls State Convention. The student leaders will discover lessons about city, state and national government as well as what is expected of elected officials by inventing a mythical 51st state to govern.
It is the seventh consecutive year UW Oshkosh has hosted the event.
