Clean-energy businesses and environmental groups will gather at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh March 4 for a forum on how Wisconsin can benefit from a clean energy economy.

Wisconsin’s Clean Energy Economy Forum will be held at 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 306 of Reeve Memorial Union, 748 Algoma Blvd. Panelists include Rep. Gordon Hintz; Dan Kohler, Wisconsin Environment; Oshkosh Mayor Frank Tower; Jerry Murphy, New North; and Michael Potts, Orion Energy Systems.

Panelists will speak on how Oshkosh and Northeast Wisconsin can grow its economy, cut pollution and create jobs by using more homegrown, renewable energy. Participants also will have an opportunity to speak to local clean energy businesses to learn how to cut back on energy costs with affordable energy efficiency and clean energy infrastructure.

The forum is hosted by Wisconsin Environment, Sierra Club: Fox Valley Chapter, WISPIRG, Orion Energy Systems, Energize LLC, Area Mechanical Inc., Hot Water Products, Renewegy Systems, Wisconsin Council of Churches, Renew Fuel Stations, City of Oshkosh Sustainability Board, UW Oshkosh Environmental Studies Program, UW Oshkosh Campus Sustainability Task Force and UW Oshkosh SEAC.
