An exhibit of artwork by sophomore, junior and senior art majors will be held Feb. 5-22 in the Allen Priebe Art Gallery, Arts and Communication Center, 926 Woodland Ave.
This juried exhibit features more than 45 pieces of student art selected by 13 UW Oshkosh Art Department faculty. The exhibit includes paintings, photographs, ceramics, sculptures, graphics, drawings, lithographs, screen prints, art metals and functional design pieces.
Awards to be given are Best of Show, 2-D Award, 3-D Award, Graphic Design Award and Juror’s Awards. Awards are sponsored by Chancellor Richard Wells, Polk Library, Allen Priebe Gallery and the Art Haus. This year’s juror is Michael Flanagan, director of the Crossman Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
The awards will be presented at an artists reception from 7 -9 p.m. Feb. 11.
The gallery is open to the public at no charge. Gallery hours are 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
