As the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh marks its 140th year this fall, the latest issue of Engage magazine takes a look back at the University’s roots as a Normal School and explores the challenges facing the institution’s future as a teacher of teachers.
The new issue — available online now — considers how the 21st century classroom is changing with new budgetary and cultural challenges.
“It’s a constant adaptation,” said Fred Yeo, dean of UW Oshkosh’s College of Education and Human Services.
In this issue, readers also will:
- Learn how UWO’s Project Success has been helping students succeed since 1979.
- Find a wide variety of bonus features, including a new UW Oshkosh re-photography project that showcases “then and now” photos of campus.
- Read a remembrance of former Alumni Director Jean C. (Goodwin) Nelson.
