For the first time, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will host the American Multicultural Student Leadership Conference (AMSLC). Nearly 200 students from across UW System have registered for the 25th-annual AMSLC, Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

The three-day conference is dedicated to providing an opportunity for students of color and economically disadvantaged students from Wisconsin to come together and engage in lively discussions, hear inspiring speakers, develop networks and celebrate their achievements in order to foster leadership and excellence.

UW Oshkosh’s Center for Academic Support and Diversity has nominated many multicultural students over the years to attend AMSLC, many of whom have submitted work that has garnered recognition from UW System.

This announcement was submitted by Ann Oliver Lepore, writing skills specialist for the Center for Academic Support and Diversity and AMSLC chair. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to contribute calendar items, campus announcements and other good news to UW Oshkosh Today. Click here to submit.
