The registration deadline for an upcoming workshop designed to support work in serving students in an advising capacity is Friday, Oct. 10.
Faculty and instructional academic staff are invited to participate in the Master Advisor Program (MAP) workshop to be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 16 in Room 202 of Reeve Memorial Union. To register, visit http://admissions.uwosh.edu/workshop/.
Participants will share their expertise and network with Kathy Stockwell and Marti Hemwell, nationally recognized speakers and faculty advisors, who will present on “Faculty Advising in the 21st Century: Advisors as Teachers and Learners” and “Advising as Teaching and Learning: Best Practices, Tools, and Tips.”
Attendees will receive a $100 stipend to attend, and lunch will be provided.
In 2006, 28 faculty and instructional academic staff members attended the first MAP workshop.
